The LoGo Company

With years of Engineering experience, the LoGo Company builds recumbent vehicles to high standards. We're not satisfied with compromise. We use bearings - not bushes; quality design, not quick fixes.

Compare our quality, then see why choosing a LoGo Trike or H.P.V. is the wise choice.

LoGo - Proudly Australian.

Looking back

I started building trikes about 7 years ago, after almost literally running in to Mike King, who was flying along on his GTR trike. We struck up a conversation about his trike and one thing led to another - the 'other' being me deciding to build a trike of my own. I didn't want a copy or a clone, although because of the almost generic nature of a tadpole trike, similarities between different makes are inevitable. For gearing - and aesthetics, I chose a 26 inch rear wheel, but retained the popular 20 inch front wheel layout.
Some time later, I was approached by CPO Andrew Hooker, RAN who wanted to borrow #001 for a charity ride on behalf of his then current posting on HMAS Torrens. That was the last I saw of my trike for six months. Andrew completed the charity run with other crew members and returned the trike as good as new. As it turned out, he had covered 1700 kms between Newcastle and Adelaide, without a problem - not even a puncture. This proved to me that the design was sound and that the trike would be suitable for small volume production.

The LoGo trikes you see today are the result of my continuous refinement of #001. They are not racers; rather, they are comfortable touring and general commuting trikes (even though Andrew later confessed that #001 had been clocked at 70 kph on one particular downhill stretch!)

Logo trikes are now constructed of TIG welded 4130 CroMo tubing and feature a sling seat with fitted cutaways and zoned tensioning. We know of no other trike manufacturers that incorporate these features. Of course we also build in zero dive braking and other not so obvious frame and safety refinements.

A Tribute to Mike King - Mike the Trike

Passed away suddenly on Wednesday 25th January 2006. It was a chance meeting with Mike on his Greenspeed trike around 10 years ago that led to us forming LoGo Trikes. Mike was a founding member of the Western Australia HPV Group. He was a member of the Bicycle Users group (BUG) and an aggressive campaigner for cyclists rights.

His unexpected death has left the Western Australian recumbent cycling community and all those who knew him in shock. Mike is survived by his mother Gwen and his long-time partner Sally.
